About IT Team

Founded in 1992, IT team is one of the key departments of the institute that develops and runs various applications to support the overall computerization of the institute’s educational, research, and administrative work. With the evolution of high-speed information networks and innovative technologies for computing and communication, the team focuses on leveraging the networks and internet services, building a ubiquitous environment, and digital library services. Managing computing resources and providing efficient information services, the team is committed to integrate, manage, and provide all the available information and knowledge.

To do so, cutting-edge server level of equipment has been installed along with a comprehensive information system that allows systemic and structural management and operation of information flow within the school. Building a high-speed information communication network with Gigabit and backbone networks, the team strives to help the faculty and students to develop the ability to collect and analyze information.

In addition, the team has developed a dotnet based academic affairs web service for the faculty and students, allowing them to take advantage of online course registration and research evaluation management services. As a part of the project on building ‘21st Century’s Future-Oriented Informatization Campus, the team has built community servers that provide the faculty and students with online discussion forums and web disk servers for them to manage and utilize available information. To actively respond to a ubiquitous environment, the team has also deployed internet certification issuance system, security system, and mobile campus services, leading the informatization of the universities and colleges in the Jungbu region. IT Team plans to build an Enterprise Knowledge Portal (EKP) by deploying knowledge management system (KMS), electronic approval, electronic document management system onto the existing systems.
